We are currently hiring for the position of Press Brake Operator on first shift.
Job Summary:
Performs forming/flattening operations using various pieces of equipment. Performs layout of materials, makes templates and ensures products are formed to proper specifications. Must be able to read blue prints and use various measuring tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs layout of materials to be formed using general math concepts
- Checks material prior to forming to ensure proper grain direction, grade and thickness
- Sets up machine to meet the requirements of each specific job
- Operates overhead cranes, tow motors and other material handling devices
- Operates the machine efficiently to complete jobs in a timely manner
- Performs minor maintenance to the machine, checks oil levels and grease as needed
- Maintains good housekeeping practices, works in a safe manner and wears PPE
- Trains potential new employees as needed
- Logs into and out of operating system to accurately record job process and completion
- Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of materials or previous experience
- Knowledge of the use of measuring tools
- Familiarity with reading/interpreting prints and shop drawings
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Manual dexterity is required for stooping, bending, and twisting.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing & pulling up to 75lbs, lifting up to 50 lbs, and carrying materials.
- Solid intermediate math skills
- Tow motor and Overhead Crane experience preferred but not required
