Job Description

The ideal candidate for this full-time position will work with internal and external teams on a complex portfolio of global pre-assessments with a focus on Animal Welfare, Human Biological Samples and GxP, working collaboratively throughout the pre-assessments to highlight issues and propose solutions. Candidate will be required to quickly develop relationships with senior leaders and management teams within external clients and suppliers, and evaluate a range of issues around governance, risks and controls.

Reporting to the VP of Compliance, candidate is expected to develop and implement strategy, innovation and drive continuous improvement in our auditing processes, share knowledge with the wider team, and identify insights and themes on the challenges and risks that arise. Scientist.com expects candidate to have an appetite to learn and develop, given the range of pre-assessment and advisory projects you’ll be involved with.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across different global locations
  • Work with external stakeholders to deliver pre-assessments on time and to highest standards
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, tenacity and independence
  • Flexible communication style, able to adjust your approach and influence others, including senior leaders
  • Analyze complex issues from a range of perspectives and form considered judgements around the actions to be taken
  • Strong project management skills to both manage individual assignments, and co-ordinate and monitor broader programs
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Breadth of global business and functional understanding ideally within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

  • Able to travel internationally (up to 40% of working days)
  • BS, MS or PhD in a Life Science Degree (preferably in Pharmacy, Pharmacology or Biomedical Science)
  • Preferably a post-graduate diploma/degree in Drug Safety, Pharmacovigilance, Toxicology or Clinical Research Management
  • 3+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical Industry including internal and supplier GxP audit
  • Excellent working knowledge of international regulations related to Animal Welfare and/or human biological sample acquisition and/or GLP/GCLP
  • Compliance or forensic audit experience
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. quality risk management)
  • Multi-lingual a big asset
