Our Opportunity:
Animal Eye Guys of South Florida is searching for a fluent Spanish speaking, Full or Part Time Technician Assistant that can leave an impression to brag about. Characteristics of the candidates we are looking for include being compassionate, enjoy the healthcare of animals, eager to solve problems, having a passion to be helpful, a fluent Spanish speaker. The approach to our mission of providing premier ocular care is with a family-oriented environment and go-getter personalities.
What you’ll do:
Patient Care
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized pets
- Intake clients and collect histories
- Restrain pet during exams or procedures performed by Technician or Doctor
Labs & Pharmacy
- Perform basic in-house lab tests
- Fill prescriptions
Housekeeping
- Maintain Laundry
- Clean cages
- Maintain clean exam rooms, treatment area, and surgical suite
- Clean public and staff areas
- Assist with facility maintenance to maintain a clean, odorless and inviting environment
Client Communication
- Professional, cheerful and helpful attitude when interacting with pet owners
- Address customer concerns in a timely, professional and emphatic manner
What You’ll Need
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of recent veterinary experience
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday, up to 20 hours a week for Part Time, up to 40 hours a week for Full Time
- Must be open to a flexible schedule
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Interest in learning about Veterinary Ophthalmology
- A love for animals, a genuine heart, and a crafty sense of humor
