Position Summary:

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for managing incoming customer and distributor inquiries, providing accurate quotes, and supporting the sale of specialized environmental control equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and experienced in technical or industrial sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Distributor Support:

  • Respond promptly to incoming customer and distributor calls and emails requesting product information, pricing, and quotations.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes for products including Sterile Storage Cabinets, MyZone, IsolationAir, HEPAir, and Cabin Cool systems.
  • Explain product features, specifications, and benefits to help customers and distributors determine the best solution for their application.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with existing distributors and end customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Technical Consultation:

  • Assess customer and distributor needs and recommend appropriate environmental control and air quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to verify product compatibility and configuration requirements.
  • Provide post-sale support by assisting with order details, product information, and warranty coordination.

Quoting and Order Management:

  • Prepare and issue formal quotations, sales proposals, and order confirmations.
  • Ensure quotes are accurate and aligned with current pricing, lead times, and company policies.
  • Follow up on open quotes and provide customers with updates on order status when needed.
  • Process purchase orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment. 

Sales Communication & Training:

  • Participate in the creation of training materials and demonstration content for customers and distributors.
  • Be comfortable being recorded for internal and external training videos demonstrating product features, applications, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and training teams to ensure technical accuracy and clarity in all recorded or written materials.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities in the company CRM system.
  • Submit regular reports on quote activity, order trends, and customer feedback.
  • Stay informed on product updates, new technologies, and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (2-year) in Business, Engineering Technology, Environmental Systems, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, customer service, or sales support—preferably involving industrial or HVAC equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain complex product features.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to meet customer needs.

Working Conditions:

This position is primarily office-based and involves frequent interaction with customers by phone and email. Occasional travel to customer sites, trade shows, or company training events may be required.  Occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor.
