Warehouse Associate Indian Trail
Summary/Objective
Warehouse associates are responsible for receiving, processing, stocking, selecting, moving and loading by hand or powered industrial equipment, manufactured goods received by the distribution center in preparation for shipment to direct consumers and retail customers of Corsan. Excellent attendance is required. Self starter with high energy needed.
Essential Functions
Grasps and lifts by hand (floor to overhead) and carries heavy and/or bulky merchandise.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Uses and verifies accuracy via Zebra scanners to process and select merchandise for shipment and audit the quality of work through the warehouse.
Operates warehouse computer systems as required to efficiently control merchandise flow.
Safely operates industrial lift trucks and other motorized and non-motorized equipment to unload trailers, transport, select, stock, and load heavy/large merchandise onto trailers for shipment to consumers and retail stores.
Places/removes by hand selected merchandise onto/from racks, pallets and into/out of boxes as merchandise is processed.
Loads and unloads trailers by hand, floor to ceiling.
Meets safety, accuracy, attendance and production standards for all assignments.
Observes incoming and outgoing merchandise for manufacturers’ defects and damage.
Handles merchandise without damaging during processing.
Maintains assigned work area free of debris and spills using standard cleaning supplies.
Comply with performance criteria and standards of conduct as provided in applicable policies and procedures.

Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Working conditions will vary depending on the time of the year, must be able to withstand above/below average temperatures, climbing on and off forklifts frequently, noise level may be high when operating power equipment and may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting merchandise. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts.
Ability to work on feet, in varying conditions and occasionally carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Currently, working a great deal of overtime.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED required
Previous warehouse experience in a pick/pack warehouse facility preferred
Preferred Education and Experience
Current forklift certification required
Receiving duties required
Knowledge of warehouse operating systems
