Position Summary:

The HR Specialist will support various Human Resources and Administrative functions for the organization, including onboarding, benefits administration, recruiting, personnel data management, and support of day-to-day employee issues. This individual will work closely with the HR, Administration, and Operations teams and will provide administrative support to the Executive team as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, updating HRIS systems, and processing employee documentation.
  • Provide support for recruitment processes, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and assisting with candidate communication.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire documentation, facilitating first day equipment, IT, and Facilities setup, as well as conducting orientation sessions and coordinating schedules.
  • Support payroll processing and time management tracking via record keeping, time sheet troubleshooting, and data management of personnel files.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and requests, providing timely and professional assistance.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Generate HR reports and assist with data analysis to identify trends and track key metrics.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent years of education and experience required
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience or equivalent in administrative and/or customer facing roles required. Experience working within a small company environment a plus.
  • Ability to problem solve and implement solutions
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively, explain the ‘Why,’ and be able to influence others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate independently with moderate supervision
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs
  • Must be able to traverse the facility
