SUMMARY

An Administrator operates all office machines and able to give general administrative and clerical support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:  Other duties may be assigned, performing all duties safely.

·        Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone

·        Answering the telephone and referring inquires in a professional and courteous manner

·        Direct visitors and give instructions in the directions they need to go and who to see

·        Screen and direct calls or take messages when necessary

·        Ensure knowledge of staff changes in the building

·        Maintain security by following procedures of not allowing visitors to roam the building

·        Take and resolve complaints from customers and public being positive to negative criticism

·        Prepare documents for clients and correspondences as necessary

·        Receive and sort mail and deliveries

·        Maintain a safe and clean area

·        Control inventory relevant to the area you are in

·        Other duties and projects as assigned by management

·        Ability to build positive relationships and interact with all skill levels

·        Ability to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment

·        Multitasking capability without compromising on quality

·        Must be proficient in handling office equipment including multiple lined telephones, printers, photocopy machines, faxes, postage machine, etc.

·        Able to work independently as well as function as part of a team

·        Dependable, punctual and able to work the hours

·        Neat and professional appearance at all times

·        Excellent computer and customer service skills

QUALIFICATIONS

·        High School diploma or equivalent

·        Minimum of 1 year experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, and Excel with some knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.

·        Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

·        Ability to follow directions, complies with standards of performance, and makes corrections when instructed.

·        Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

·        Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including being available for overtime and on-call assignments.

·        Ability to read and write at a level sufficient to complete basic paperwork associated with the job, such as timesheets and written job-related reports.

·        Meet company drug screen, criminal background and driving record standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, reach, feel by touch, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch. 

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment will frequently contain one or more of the following: loud machine noises, risk of cuts.  Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures and specialized training are provided to reduce hazard exposure risks.

WORK HOURS

An Admin typically works an assigned 40 hour shift Monday through Friday; depending on location it will be 5-8 hour days or 4-10 hour days.  In addition, the Admin may be subject to an on-call schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Likewise, hours may be reduced during periods of reduced workload or demand.

DRESS CODE

An Admin is casual attire appropriate for a machine shop.
