RedLine Athletics - Sports Performance Specialist - SPS
RedLine Athletics is a 12,000sf youth athletic training facility located in the Farmington Hills area. Our center includes a 25 yard indoor turf field, full-length batting cage, basketball court, and state-of-the-art strength room. While we focus primarily on semi-private group training for the youth athlete population 8 to18 years old, we also offer 1-on-1 skill instructions, and team training.
Our training programs offer clients the ability to improve their performance and reduce their risk of injury in a dynamic, fast-paced, and enjoyment training environment. As an SPS you will inspire and empower the people in our community to make positive health choices and change their lives by joining our team in creating a fun, high-energy atmosphere for athletes to train like a pro, with the pros.
 Responsibilities of this position include implementation of the RedLine training programs; member retention through outstanding training performance and communication; and extensive outreach and marketing skills.
Our new SPS should be an enthusiastic and experienced trainer with impressive leadership ability. They must enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities, with a primary focus on the 8 to 18 age group. We are looking for a coach who is high-energy, motivating, passionate about health & performance, and ready to make a difference in each client’s life. Training is provided.Â

Sports Performance Specialist:Â
RedLine Athletics seeks experienced Sports Performance Specialists (SPS) for
our Farmington Hills, Michigan location. SPS train athletes in strength,
conditioning, and sport-specific skills development. Full time, part time, and
private lesson SPS positions are available.Â
SPS tasks include:Â
• Training RedLine athletes: SPS staff are the primary trainers for our youth
athletes.Â
 SPS implement workouts, teach
semi-private sport specific skills, and communicate
 with athletes and their parents.Â
• SPS staff members may run morning boot camps, private lessons, and other
programs
 outside of normal business hours.Â
• SPS trainers report to the Director of Sports Performance (DSP) to implement,
adjust,
 and teach workouts and skills
training.Â
• SPS staff will have member-recruiting incentives and will be expected to
actively recruit
 new members and help to retain existing
members.Â
• SPS staff will ensure that the facility is clean and properly maintained.
Experience Preferred:Â
Experience as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach (Intern, GA or Asst.
Coach) or as a scholarship awarded collegiate athlete
License/Certification
Preferred:Â
Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS), USAW Level 1 Certificate,
Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) OR be willing and able to
take the next available certification examÂ
Certified MAT (Muscle Activation Technique) Specialist
Requirements:Â
• SPS are typically former/current
collegiate or professional athletes.Â
• SPS staff must be proficient with strength and conditioning
instruction.Â
• SPS must be willing and able to learn in order to teach valuable skills to
our athletes.Â
• Certification: In order to be a full-time SPS staff member, the trainer must
first pass the
 RedLine SPS certification test. This
test ensures that the trainer has a working
 knowledge of the basics in strength and
conditioning, stretching protocols, and intimate
 knowledge of the RedLine culture and
gym flow. This test is usually completed at the
 end of an internship, or after the
interview process and initial training is completed.
