Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing highly diversified duties
including cleaning, setting up, closing and maintaining facility to support the
highest quality customer experience at the Lod Cook Alumni Center. The
Maintenance Engineer will assist with the maintenance of the building, grounds,
equipment, and facilities by cleaning, making repairs, and completing projects
as assigned. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for setting up
of tables, chairs and audio/visual equipment for events as directed by the
Facilities Manager, working closely with the team to complete room setups
quickly and accurately, ensuring the highest quality event experience at the
Lod Cook Alumni Center.
Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning
duties and carrying out opening and closing duties of the facility. The LSU
Alumni Association is committed to portraying a positive company image and
providing excellent customer service to all clients. The Maintenance Engineer
must have customer service experience and work well in a collaborative team
environment. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for
setting up and maintaining a variety of audio/visual and technical equipment
including audio/visual, sound systems, projectors, and computers.
Minimum of 3 years in related maintenance role
Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior training and/or work experience related to audio/visual support,
technical support and maintenance, and Microsoft Office preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Knowledge and experience repairing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting,
drywall and appliances
Self-motivation and attention to detail
Oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability
to build relationships
