Tool / Small Engine Repair Technician / Mechanic Needed
EXPERIENCE IN SMALL ENGINE & POWER TOOL REPAIR PREFERRED

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
-Receives products in need of repair and diagnoses fault by testing on electrical or air test equipment and/or by listening to and observing product in operation.
-Fully or partially disassembles unit, examines components for wear or defects and replaces those parts that are worn out or defective.
-Reassembles unit in such a way as to ensure proper operation after assembly in regards to operating speed, vibration, noise and heat.
-Prepares portion of work order regarding the parts that are used in the repair, as well as the prices and then records any information that may be pertinent to the customer or person that will issue billing for the repair.
-Helps with maintenance of shop equipment. Keeps hand tools and the working areas clean and orderly.
-Trains other repair technicians as required.
-Observes all safety practices and makes suggestions for improved productivity.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS:
-Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics and printed data about servicing our products.
-Thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity and air as a power source for power tools and the ability to diagnose mechanical or electrical faults in power tools, small household appliances, radial arm saws and light construction equipment.
-Ability to make simple mathematical calculations.
-Ability to instruct personnel to make repairs to our manufacturer's products.
