CAD Design Engineer

Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc. specializes in designing, building and supplying high-end water treatment systems and equipment for use in aquaculture, aquatic research, aquaponics and commercial aquatic exhibits.   IAS currently has a Full Time Regular position opening for a for a mid-senior level CAD Design Engineer responsible for developing CAD drawings in addition to design & engineering documentation for our integrated aquatic systems.  

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have design experience in a similar industry related to water handling systems for Aquarium Life Support, Aquaculture or Aquatic Research.  Knowledge, background and practical experience with plumbing, mechanical, electrical wiring and control systems is required.   Proficiency in 3D CAD drafting software required (AutoCAD, Solidworks).

Educational background (BSME preferred) and/or practical hands-on experience with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and aquatic system design highly desired.   The right person will have excellent verbal , written and interpersonal communication skills.  The successful candidate will have the ability to be flexible and complete a range of tasks and functions successfully in order to help the company complete projects successfully on time and within budget.  Must be hard working, easy to work with, detail oriented, and have pride of workmanship. 

Job Description:

CAD Design Engineer is a critical position in the Engineering Department that requires regular coordination, scheduling and communication with Sales, Administration and Production personnel.  Duties include custom design and engineering, developing and maintaining engineering documentation, drawing parts and systems in 3D CAD.  Some field project management and training should be expected and must be willing to travel.  Other duties include in-house and field testing systems and assisting with other areas of the business as necessary.
