JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for various critical functions within the Mortgage Branch to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan files and coordination of loan closings.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists the Mortgage Loan Originators to insure a smooth, timely loan closing for all the clients of that branch;
  • Responsibilities may include meeting with clients, collection and procurement of needed loan documents including but not limited to income and deposit information, insurance and title work documentation;
  • Preparing or assisting with loan documentation using the Encompass system;
  • Requires pre submission review to insure that each loan meets all agency and investor guidelines;
  • Ensures properly executed loan documentation in conformance with legal, regulatory and bank policy standards;
  • Work with each Mortgage Loan Originator to make sure all monthly closing goals are met;
  • Monitors all lock and document expirations;
  • Insure that all applications are processed, closed or adversed as required;
  • Work with processing to help clear all underwriting conditions in order to properly meet branch closing goals and objectives;
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Originators with marketing and customer relations with current and future clients;
  • Responsibilities include document imaging of loan packages to processing, underwriting and closing.

  • Provides support and/or assistance to co-workers and internal customers;
  • Performs other various duties as assigned by the Loan Production Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 2 years of college preferred;

  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work with little supervision, a self-starter with excellent follow-up skills;

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to see a closing through completion;

  • Excellent oral communication skills both in person and by telephone;

  • Excellent written communication skills;

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills;

  • Professional in manner and appearance.

    Desirable

  • Previous mortgage loan experience;

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation to include applications, credit reports, VOE’s VOD;s, VOM;s Payoffs, Title work, Insurance;

  • Knowledge of mortgage compliance regulations, especially as they relate to mortgage loans

     

    Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use of hands and fingers to feel or handle equipment and files; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 2.5 pounds.  The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

     

    Work Environment- The work environment of the Mortgage Loan Coordinator is in an office or cubicle due the nature of the position.  The general area is medium to low noise level.  All areas are air conditioned or heated.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
