Optometrist Front Desk

Share:

We are a small, but busy, Optometry practice in the Northgate area of Seattle. We work as a team and help each other out throughout the day, allowing the staff to thrive in a happy workplace. We want our staff to be friendly and outgoing, treating our patients like we would want to be treated when we go to the doctor. We need someone attentive to detail, good with computers, quick to learn new technology (our patients love all the great technology our office has), and good with numbers.

Since we all work as a team, our new employee will eventually learn all aspects of the office, however, for this position, the duties would be primarily front desk work.

Your duties will focus on:

- Reception / Administration duties

- Scheduling patient appointments

- Insurance verification

- Posting patient payments to the electronic records system and creating invoices

The position's duties will also include:

- Contact Lens Patient Education

- Contact lens ordering and dispensing

- Pre-Test patients for the Optometrists and perform specialized tests

We want you to be happy in your job, so we buy lunch for the office every few weeks, do coffee runs once in awhile, and offer great benefits, like medical, paid sick time, paid vacation time, and even 401K (after one year of employment).

Although for this position we would love someone familiar with the front desk workings of a health care office, we realize the best candidate may not be the most experienced, so even if you don't have eye care experience, please apply. We are more than happy to train the right person for this position! Your personality, work ethic, love of patients, and ability to learn quickly is what is most important. An ability to work with numbers and computers well would be a great asset.

High school graduation or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred, but not required. If you have a certification or are interested in the Optometry/Optician/Technician field professionally, please feel free to apply as well.

Must have a flexible schedule as the office is open 7 days a week so days off will vary.

We are seeking a Full-Time employee, but if you are amazing and happen to just be seeking Part-time, consider applying as well! Part-time employment would likely be a fixed Sat/Sun or Fri/Sat/Sun schedule.

Hourly Salary commensurate with experience/ education/certification.

Our office has been open for over thirty years and the current doctor bought the practice seven years ago. We are established, stable, and continue to grow as we just opened a second smaller nearby location. If you think you would like working with a great staff, great patients, and a great doctor, please apply today!
