Superintendent
Located: Austin, Arkansas
Status: Full-Time
Our client is seeking a Superintendent to join their fast-growing team! You will be responsible for managing the on-site execution of commercial, industrial, and government construction projects. You’ll supervise all field operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
You will work closely with a Project Manager and General Superintendent and be equipped with the tools, technology, support staff, and training needed to be successful in your role.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead daily field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction activities
- Supervise all construction efforts in alignment with the design, schedule, and budget
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies
- Oversee all jobsite safety and maintain a professional, clean, and organized project environment
- Coordinate and manage materials procurement, logistics, and space planning
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and project documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fellow superintendents
- Monitor quality control, code compliance, and field performance
- Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and manage all trades and self-perform work
- Review blueprints and schematics (AutoCAD) for accuracy and adherence to scope
- Track labor productivity and submit weekly labor cost reports
- Ensure all jobsite activity is documented through daily reports
Required Qualifications
- Ability to access federal facilities which requires US Citizenship.
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on Federal or Commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods, jobsite logistics, and project safety
- Experience enforcing OSHA 30 standards
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local building codes and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Understanding of FAR, DFARS, VAAR or other federal agency-specific regulations
- Experience with agencies such as VA, FDA, USACE, GSA, FAA, NAVFAC, or NPS
- Experience in hospital and/or laboratory construction projects
- Industry certifications such as CPE, LEED AP, or PMP
Technical Skills
- Proficient with:
- Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe
- Platforms such as RMS, Kahua, Building Connected, and SAM.gov
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new construction technologies and platforms
