The FULL TIME Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

Strong performance will be reward with chance to move to the management team as the owner has multiple stores. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

-Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
-Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members,
and leadership
-Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
-Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry
trends
-Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
-Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately following company policy and accepted accounting practices
-Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
-Manages the logistics of small to medium projects, follows through to completion, and updates all parties as needed
-May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.
-Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents
-Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for print projects using Adobe and -----Microsoft Suites for both Mac and PC
-Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
-Takes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutions
-Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries
-Develops as a team player and is critical to the production process
-Operates and maintains print and finishing equipment
-Answers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed information
-Communicates effectively with customers
-Completes tasks independently in a quick turn environment
-Expertly operates POS equipment
-Follows and understands quality guidelines
-Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control
-Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and b-binding
-Interprets a variety of instructions provided in written or verbal form
-Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
-Performs other duties as required
-Prioritizes and optimizes the work load to streamline the production flow
-Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
-Takes action to learn NEW products, services, alternative solutions, and industry trends as well as occasionally reviewing/retraining on lesser used services
-Boxes and ships products when necessary
-Calls customers to arrange pickup of products
-Checks in inventory
-Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently
-Performs a final QA check of all sign products to verify accuracy and correctness
-Provides completed documentation for shipping
-Provides prompt, efficient shipping expertise
-Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
