Chief Investment Officer

IBX is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to manage, monitor and report on its investment portfolio and oversee third-party consultants, banks, or brokerage firms. The CIO will help develop our overall strategy for the family’s assets, execute this strategy, evaluate investment performance and report on market trends. In addition, the CIO will assist portfolio companies with sourcing investment in those companies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective investment processes and strategies and goals
• Establish investment policy statement
• Manage, monitor, analyze and regularly report on investment portfolio
• Oversee and report on external portfolio managers, investment advisors and banks
• Regularly report on cash flow, liquidity, risk and returns within the portfolio.
• Write clear and well-informed investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.
• Lead due diligence efforts on new investment opportunities
• Assist in capital raise activities for portfolio companies
• Be able to speak intelligently and persuasively to our investors about IBX and its portfolio companies

Minimum Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in investment management
• BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or related field,
• CPA, MBA or CFA preferred
• Strong knowledge of portfolio management, venture capital and entrepreneurship
• Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner
• Strong ethical behavior
• Proficiency with financial analysis software
