Daybrook’s Empire, LA facility is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor. This position reports directly to the Warehouse and Shipping Manager. This position is responsible and accountable for the warehouse administration and supervision to ensure the timely loading of products.  This position requires the supervisor to be pro-active rather than re-active.

Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implement strong safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 5 Years of Experience

Experience: 5 - 8 years’ experience with strong administration background in a production environment where warehousing, audits and regulatory compliance are key aspects of job profile.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, auditors, customers, and the general staff.

·         Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

·         Ability to perform under pressure and maintain composure.

 Responsibilities

•         Supervise and oversee correct completion and scanning of BOL’s and shipment documentation required by head office for invoicing,

•         Calculate oil transfers to IMTT and send transaction request to the New Orleans office for entry,

•         Assist logistics team with load rejections and resolution thereof,

•         Manage hourly employees time and schedules.

•         Approve employee’s time.

•         Manage workload distribution to ensure order are being met on timely manner.

•         Able to learn and operate all product loading equipment.

•         Assist with processing, issuing, and distributing a weekly, monthly, and annual production management report showing production, open accounts, revenue report, and open contracts,

•         Responsible for maintaining feed tonnage licenses with various states and issuing tonnage reports when due.

•         Process insurance of barges after they finish loading at Empire,

•         Travel to outside warehouses to ensure warehouses meet compliance regulations and lead audits on site,

•         Back up to Warehouse and Shipping manager duties in his absence,

•         Back up to head office for invoicing/crediting,

•         Assist warehousing and shipping with ad hoc documentation projects (ex. Import and export licenses, Customer questionnaire, FDA registrations, import procedures)

•         Maintain the food safety and quality assurance programs in accordance with FSMA/HARPC,

•         Maintain pest control documentation and be involved when areas of concern are noted by DA Exterminating,

•         Oversee daily cleanliness of warehouse and surrounds.

•         Perform daily/weekly stock measurements against inventory form production and warehouse inventory.

•         Record keeping of production and inventory on weekly tracking file,

•         Complete and update weekly, monthly, and quarterly count of inventories,

•         Resolve any variances to maintain data accuracy of inventories,

•         Reconcile all warehouses numbers against mass database,

•         Report weekly tonnage shipments to warehouse manager, 

•         Prepare materials as requested and specified by auditors,

•         Traceability and Product Recall Exercise,

•         Assist/resolve customer complaints and claims

•         Work with HSE department and HR to ensure that all employees have been GMP+ and Feed
