Kindergarten/Implementation/Reading Specialist
 
The Carmel Hill Fund is a private, non-profit foundation whose mission is to support children in becoming voracious readers. The Colorado office works with the underserved population in Denver Public Schools to achieve this goal by providing necessary professional support, computers, technology and books to individual schools.

The Implementation Specialist will:

• Guide and mentor teachers, administrators and students through the implementation process via presentations, coaching and modeling
• Monitor participation and quality daily, and prepare weekly data analysis
• Work with teachers to foster book selection skills and knowledge of literature
• Review and oversee book, computer and tech orders using critical SOP’s
• Thorougly understand the concept and utilization of the Renaissance Learning Accelerated Reader and Star products
• Be available to schools by phone and email on a daily basis

Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics of an Implementation Specialist

• Ability to communicate with administrators, teachers and staff with tact, respect and an understanding of their needs and goals
• Clear understanding of data collection and analysis, identifying patterns, causes and remedies
• Ability to flourish in an intense, results driven environment
• Teaching, library, reading and/or presentation skills utilized within the past few years. Degree in Education suggested but not required. Oral and written Spanish required.


Job Details

• The job will be full time for 10 months; 2 summer months
• When a school meeting is not scheduled, you are expected to be in the Boulder office. This is not a work from home position.
• A reliable vehicle and cell phone are required.
• The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $55,000 per year. There are no benefits available. This position will begin on August 1, 2014.
