Sports Performance Coach/Personal Trainer
Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy, with locations in Stoughton and Foxborough, MA, is looking for a motivated, passionate, and team-oriented Sports Performance Coach/Personal Trainer to join our growing team. Our comprehensive team consists of physical therapists, strength & conditioning specialists, and certified personal trainers dedicated to providing the region's best in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, sports performance training, and personal training, all under one roof. Co-owned and operated by a physical therapist and strength & conditioning specialist, Elite has been providing top-level physical therapy, sports performance, and personal training services since 2001. Both of our facilities include a fully-equipped sports performance center for high-level athlete rehabilitation and performance training, including advanced training equipment and large turf training surfaces. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone relatively new to the sports performance/personal training field who is interested in gaining real-world experience and an opportunity to grow with a strong and established company.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide high quality strength, conditioning, agility and speed training and coaching to a variety of clients of all ages but with a particular focus on athletes ranging from ages 10-22.
Assess clients using the Functional Movement Screen and other assessment/testing tools and perform regular re-assessments to track progress.
Design individual, small group, and team training programs for a variety of athletes and adult clients.
Assist in marketing Elite’s services via social media posts and at community outreach events.
Serve as a professional, positive, knowledgeable, and inspiring role model to our athletes and clients.
Work cooperatively as a member of a small, dynamic team of sports performance coaches, personal trainers, and physical therapists.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate has a degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Health Sciences, or Athletic Training and/or a current accredited certification as a personal trainer or strength & conditioning specialist. Current CSCS certification preferred but not required. Current CPR/first aid certification required. Previous training experience and a passion for training and sports performance enhancement is a plus.
Hours: Must be able to work afternoons, evenings and weekends (Saturday mornings, occasionally Sundays) during the academic year. Morning hours may be available during the summer. This position has the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.
