I.          JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing Human Resource functions for assigned business unit such as providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations, addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and database of personnel actions.

 II.         DUTIES

Reviews and processes CDPAS new hire packets and supplemental packets for orientation.

Processes Disability and Family Medical Leave Act paperwork.

Processes Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation claims.

Processes background checks on all CDPAS new hires.  

Updates Master Availability List.  

Processes discrepancies and late timesheets. 

Processes requests such as employment verifications, copies of various documents. 

Updates consumers’ information in the database such as PPD and HHA information. 

Performs other duties as assigned.  

III.        SUPERVISION 

This position does not have any regular responsibility for the work of others. 

 IV.       TECHNOLOGY/ EQUIPMENT/ TOOLS 

Software Skill Level                                                       Basic 

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)                        Basic

Ability to learn company in-house software

This position requires traveling between the Geneva, Rochester, and Corning Location.

 VI.       WORK ENVIRONMENT 

This job operates in a professional office environment with moderate to light noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

VIII.     Qualifications 

Education Requirements  

Minimum Associate’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field 

Experience Requirements  

Minimum of One (1) year of HR Generalist experience including recruiting

Skills and Competencies Requirements 

Proficient written and oral language skills 

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus 

Ability to work under minimal supervision 

Ability to effectively research and solve problems 

Must be well organized and detail oriented
