Status: Part-Time, Weekdays & Evenings, 15-20 hrs/week average   

JOB SUMMARY: Looking for energetic individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with elementary and middle school students. In this position, you will be leading groups of students through Arrowhead Stadium for educational fieldtrips with the Chiefs Sports Lab powered by Blue KC and the new Arrowhead Art Collection program. The Sports Lab is an interactive health and fitness zone specifically designed for school-aged children and is located inside Arrowhead Stadium. This position could also include off-site Play60 engagements within the Kansas City Community. Applicants must like working with children, be well-spoken with educators and group leaders, be extremely responsible and have a health-conscience mindset. Public Speaking and/or performance experience is highly recommended.   

 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Operation and understanding maintenance of the Chiefs Sports Lab hands-on and computer interactive activities.
  2. Clear and friendly communication to all visitors of the Sports Lab and Arrowhead Art Collection.
  3. Leading tours through Arrowhead Stadium while promoting NFL Play60 and regional art.
  4. Being observant and taking a proactive approach to making a fieldtrip visit the best experience possible for both children and adults.
  5. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while remaining positive.
  6. Punctual, organized and possessing great time management skills.
  7. Must be able to work well in a team atmosphere.
  8. Prior experience with school-aged children is highly preferred.
  9. Public Speaking or performance experience is highly preferred.
  10. Requires frequent walking, standing, bending and climbing stairs.
  11. Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Light office duties and activities.
  2. Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
  3. Ability to push and pull objects, reach, bend, walk, sit and/or stand, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  4. Must be able to lift/carry objects weighing 50+ lbs.
  5. Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment during events and inclement weather temperatures. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  1. Ability to interact appropriately with children (background check required).
  2. Public Speaking
  3. High School Graduate.
  4. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  5. Art or Physical Fitness background preferred but not required.
