We are seeking a Restaurant Cooks Workers to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all served food
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Listening: Prep cooks need to be able to hear and understand specific instructions from their chefs.
  • Manual Dexterity: Prep cooks will be using their hands to cut and chop food, as well as other tasks.
  • Stamina: Everyone in the kitchen works long hours on their feet over hot stoves and grills. Stamina is needed.
  • Teamwork: Prep cooks are part of a team, and in a stressful, fast-paced environment, being a team player and level-headed will help immensely.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Fluent Chinese/English is a plus
