Auto Technician - Classic Cars

Vintage Iron & Restoration, a well-established and prestigious classic car repair and restoration shop in North Scottsdale is seeking a project-oriented automotive restoration professional to join our team. Must be an "A+" technician and have knowledge of Engine/Driveline, Steering and Suspension, Electrical, and Frame-Off, Rotisserie automobile restoration. Previous experience with classic automobiles - repair and restoration - is a requirement. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

You must have your own professional tools and enjoy working in a clean, friendly and fast paced environment. Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects at once is necessary. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.

This is a professional position and we require someone with a strong customer service mindset.

The right candidate will have:

- 5 years min. automotive repair and restoration experience
- Ability to manage small and large projects from start to finish
- Must have experience working in a high volume garage. We are not looking for the
home hobbyist
- Able to deal with a fast-paced and dynamic work load while maintaining a positive and
friendly attitude (attitude is huge to us)

Duties:

- Ability to Inspect, properly diagnose and repair classic vehicles
- Brake and suspension repairs and conversions
- Diagnose and repair electrical/wiring issues including malfunctioning gauges
- Engine R&R work (engines are built in another department in our shop)
- Transmission R&R (we do rebuild some 4 speed transmissions in house)
- Clutch replacement and shifter set-up/fine tuning
- Rear end maintenance, repair, and gear set-up
- Air conditioning system repair and maintenance (we also install aftermarket A/C
systems)
- Custom work and fabrication, as needed
