Dorm Resident Staff

Interested in education and youth development? Looking for a creative way to tackle the high cost of housing in the Boston Area? Working part-time or taking graduate classes? Consider being part of the residential community at Lexington Christian Academy.

LCA is seeking a Resident Staff person to be part of our community. Compensation includes a small stipend plus housing and 2 chef-prepared meals per day during the academic year. This position requires an average of 10 hours per week toward various needs at our dorm. Duties include driving students in school vans and helping to supervise students on evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Resident Staff should also join the student community for dinner at least 2 nights per week. 

There is an opportunity to add up to 10 hours per week on our main campus (Monday through Thursday) providing classroom supervision/coverage.

Housing is a dorm suite with private bath on a student hallway. There is also a shared kitchen for adult staff.

• Appreciates a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment; bilingual a plus (particularly Mandarin)

• Approachable and caring; a good listener

• Safe and responsible driver

• Committed to following state guidelines and recommendations regarding social distancing and other safety protocols in light of COVID-19.

About the LCA Residential Community

• Dorm Facilities: A stately main “house†with staff-only housing plus 4 wings of dorm rooms, separated by gender. Located 30 minutes from downtown Boston, nestled in a quiet neighborhood and situated on 7 acres, ½ mile from our Main Campus. 

• 10-15 Adult residential staff: made up of Dorm Parents, Administrators, full-time and part-time school staff.

• 50-60 students: a mix of international students from China, Nigeria, VietNam, Brazil, and Japan, plus domestic students, many of whom return to their homes on the weekends.

NOTES REGARDING COVID-19

Lexington Christian Academy follows very careful protocols to ensure the safety of all residents. COVID Testing may be required on a regular basis. Meals will reflect recommended distancing recommendations. Masks and appropriate physical distancing are expected.
