Warehouse 2nd shift Selector
Job Summary: Atlas is looking for a high-energy, accountable, responsible, team player to join the Second Shift team as a Selector. The Second Shift Selectors are responsible for tasks including accurate and efficient product receipt from vendors and accurate and timely picking, building of orders, loading of trucks, and completing paperwork. This individual must have high personal standards for quality and dependability, with a passion and aptitude to adhere to all necessary food safety, OSHA, and company policy requirements. With a hunger for continuous improvement and an open communication style, this candidate must have high standards to constantly improve accuracy and productivity while working safely and being accountable for on-time and consistent attendance.
Essential Duties & Requirements of the Job:
1. Accurately pick products, build pallets, and load trucks using light industrial equipment.
2. Load trucks in order of route sequence so products can be easily unloaded by drivers.
3. Capability to learn ERP system: Invoicing functions, Order Entry, Inventory Lookup functions.
4. Maintaining a clean warehouse and products: Fronting of stock, dusting product, rotation of inventory and cleaning warehouse.
5. Use scanning technology.
6. Making morning pickups and accurately checking in products.
7. Report all shorts & substitutions for Warehouse Night Manager approval
8. Deliveries as needed.
9. Problem solving, reporting solutions of daily issues to supervisor.
Requirements to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:
1. Must be able to work weeknights and Sunday night.
2. Training, proper maintenance, and utilization of equipment on hi-lo’s and jacks as assigned.
3. Examination of trucks and other equipment as assigned.
4. Required to fill out drivers log when delivering to customers.
5. Overtime must be approved by the warehouse supervisor.
6. Attention to detail and good communication skills.
7. Must clock out for lunch anytime leaving the building during assigned shift.
8. Other duties as assigned.Shift Responsibilities:
START OF SHIFT:
1. Meet with night supervisor to get the workload assignments for shift.
2. Review the night’s workload (via picking labels and / or scanning equipment) and plan accordingly.
3. Understand personal and team metrics from previous shifts to target opportunities for improvement.
END OF THE SHIFT:
1. Ensure all necessary paperwork has been submitted to night supervisor.
2. Review with night supervisor any problems, suggestions, etc.
3. Review shorts and catch weights and make changes to orders in the ERP system.
4. Print out invoices and prepare paperwork for drivers.
5. Assist in warehouse daily sanitation checklist (clean, garbage is empty, & pick bins are free of debris).
6. Review previous day's credit reasons report & error log.
Educational & Technical Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
1. High School/GED equivalent.
2. Excellent reading and math skills.
3. Preferred: Experience operating ride-on pallet jacks and forklifts
4. 2-4 years experience in foodservice operations with demonstrated high accuracy and productivity metrics.
5. Microsoft Office365; Outlook, Excel, Word preferred or willing to learn.
Physical, Mental and Psychological Requirements to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:
1. Sound physical, mental and psychological health.
2. Must be able to lift 100lbs of product when restocking product, and when picking orders.
3. Must be willing and able to work in freezer, refrigerated, and ambient conditions.
4. Respectfulness to supervisors, co-workers, customers, and vendor drivers.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
1. Certain employees may be required to be a back up driver from time to time, in this case, the employee must have:
a. Department of Transportation Medical (DOT) Card must be valid at all times. Any tickets incurred for an invalid medical card will be the employee’s responsibility.
b. Valid Chauffeurs license.
