OPMS is an administrative medical management institution located in Orange County who is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our corporate Accounting department and Payroll .  

Once on board, the new teammate will partner with other departments to provide financial analysis, reporting, work in accounting department and maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data, commissions, bonus disbursements, reporting, analysis and processing Payroll and multi-State Payroll taxes. 

The Accountant, Bookkeeper is responsible for the maintenance and general accounting books, accounts payable, receivable, preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports and updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, and job title and department/division transfers, provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.  

Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

The Accountant, Bookkeeper is responsible for reconciling, maintain transactions, transfers, general ledger, accounting books and helping with preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports for this entity as well as 24 others who provide services to 24 medical clinics in 16 states including Puerto Rico as needed.

Qualifications:  

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related study.
  • 3-5 years experience in accounting within a larger corporate environment, multi-state Payroll taxes, accounting and accounts payable, receivable and various accounts reconciliations.
  • Knowledge and experience of Payroll and multi-state payroll taxes, reporting and experience in accounting processes and analysis.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.  
  • Initiative to work independently and contribute to department goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including Excel and experience with QuickBooks accounting system.
