Redlands Truck and RV is seeking an Alignment Technician to add to our team. This is a full time position with a company that is a leader in the RV repair industry. We offer excellent pay and benefits including profit sharing. Applicant should have experience in the automotive industry and a basic knowledge of alignment and suspension work. Experience in the RV industry is preferred but not required for the right individual. As an Alignment Technician your duties will include;
- Inspecting tire wear and measuring tread depth to determine when tires need to be replaced
- Inspecting vehicles for alignment issues and repairing them as needed using specialized tools and equipment
- Performing wheel alignment using computerized alignment machines
- Inspecting vehicle suspension components to ensure they are working properly to support the weight of the vehicle
- Determining the causes of alignment problems by inspecting tires, wheels, and suspension components for signs of damage or wear
- Inspecting vehicle suspension systems to ensure they are working properly
- Recommendation of repair options based on inspection findings
- Measuring wheel alignment angles and adjusting them as required to ensure proper tracking
- Installing new tires onto vehicles when needed based on alignment issues identified during inspection.
- Be able to align wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars and steering mechanisms of automotive vehicles.
- Straighten axle and steering rods, adjusts shims, tie rods and joining pins to align wheels or install new parts
- Inspect and diagnose vehicle for faulty wheel alignment, bent axle, worn ball joints, bent steering rods and any other faulty suspension components
- Knowledge of Hunter Alignment machines is a plus.
SKILLS;
- Technical Skills: Ability to use tools and equipment to complete a task and interpret data
- Communication Skills: Ability to inform Service Writers, Shop Foreman and customers of their work and findings.
- Problem Solving Skills - Ability to identify the source of a problem with an alignment and make suggestions to correct the problem.
- Attention to detail - Ability to pay close attention to ensure expectations of shop and customers are met and identify potential issues before they occur.
- Teamwork - Being a team player is extremely important.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Automotive experience
- Own basic set of Mechanics tools or participate in tool purchase program
- Valid Driver license
- Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.

Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods of time which may include heavy lifting, including alignment related parts, commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
- Be able to lift 75+ lbs., carry 50+ lbs. and push/pull 60+ lbs.
- Steel-toed footwear and safety glasses are required
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs
- Work in inclement weather conditions such as heat and cold.
