West Janisch Healthcare is looking for a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and help us deliver exceptional skilled nursing care. As ADON, you’ll support the Director of Nursing in managing day-to-day clinical operations and guide our nursing team in delivering the highest standard of resident-centered care.

• Oversee and support nursing staff across units—coaching, mentoring, and ensuring high performance

• Assist in recruitment, hiring, scheduling, and performance reviews of clinical staff

• Participate in onboarding, in-service education, and ongoing clinical training

• Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality of care, assess staff performance, and identify hazards or service gaps

• Collaborate on care planning, change-of-condition reporting, and documentation compliance

• Conduct chart audits, identify improvement areas, and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives

• Ensure infection control protocols and regulatory standards are followed

• Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

• Step in for the DON as needed to ensure seamless operation of the nursing department

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Nursing

• 3+ years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role

• Prior Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility experience is highly preferred

• Strong leadership, time management, and clinical decision-making skills

• Proficiency in documentation, audits, and care plan coordination
