Role overview
The Associate Financial Advisor will work closely with a Lead Advisor to deliver high-quality planning and investment advice to clients while gradually assuming more client-facing responsibility and ownership of relationships over time. This role is ideal for someone on the CFP track who wants a clear, structured path to becoming a lead advisor in an ensemble firm environment.
Key responsibilities
· Support the Lead Advisor in preparing for client meetings, including building and updating financial plans, investment analyses, and recommendations.
· Participate in client meetings as a “second chair,” taking notes, handling follow-up items, and increasingly contributing to advice delivery and discussion.
· Create and maintain planning deliverables (retirement projections, tax and cash flow analyses, estate planning summaries, insurance reviews, etc.).
· Coordinate with the Client Service Associate to ensure accurate and timely implementation of account openings, money movements, and other operational items.
· Proactively follow up on action items with clients and internal team members to drive execution of recommendations.
· Over time, assume primary responsibility for a segment of client relationships transitioned from senior advisors and appropriately matched new referrals.

Ideal candidate profile
· 2–5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a closely related role (internship, part-time, and full-time experience all valued).
· Actively pursuing the CFP designation (CFP coursework completed or in progress strongly preferred).
· Strong technical aptitude in financial planning topics: retirement, investments, tax-awareness, risk management, estate basics, and cash flow.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
· Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with clients in a professional, confident manner.
· Team-first mindset with a desire to grow into a lead advisor role within a structured, collaborative ensemble firm.
