Bar Supervisor
Position Title: Bar Supervisor
Reports to: Event Production Manager
The Bar Supervisor supports the Event Production Manager in delivering exceptional bar and event services for CAC’s hospitality and development events. This role oversees bar operations, supervises and trains staff, and ensures all events meet CAC’s service standards.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal/external clients to review event details and service needs.

Supervise and train bartenders, barbacks, servers, and set-up staff.

Lead pre-event lineups and communicate updates or changes to the team.

Ensure staff knowledge of drink menus, ingredients, garnishes, and service expectations.

Coordinate bar inventory and equipment setup in alignment with activation sheets.

Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked service areas.

Monitor events to ensure readiness at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time.

Support inventory tracking, cost management, and billing documentation.

Submit vendor invoices promptly for approval and payment.

Uphold city/state liquor laws and ensure compliance by all bar staff.

Manage staff breaks, payroll reporting, and closing duties.

Handle guest or staff incidents and complete reports as necessary.

Maintain professional communication and collaborative working relationships.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Event Production Manager
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 3 years relevant bar/beverage experience.

Experience supervising event or hospitality staff.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently under pressure with attention to detail.

Bachelor’s degree and facility management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 40 lbs), and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
-
Must have visual acuity and the ability to work in loud or outdoor environments.
