Buyer/Planner

Manufacturing company in the Edison, NJ area is seeking a buyer/planner.  This is a very hands on role that will require lots of time on the manufacturing floor.  This is a fulltime direct hire position with full benefits in a great team environment.

 Responsibilities Include

• Purchase material to keep the cells running
• Creating a plan to meet customer demand while reducing cost
• Manage inventory on the Manufacturing Floor
• Manage the Kanban Process –
• Communicate problems and appropriately deal with customer demand
• Participate in continuous improvement activities

Qualifications include

• High School Diploma Required Associates Degree preferred
• Knowledge of Kanban and lean manufacturing principals
• Understanding of the assembly process
• Being team oriented
• Able to develop and train cell leaders
