Responsibilities:

• Improve the quality of process outputs, by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability.
• Understand, develop, maintain, and improve ceramic glassing processes.
• Creates custom color separation of designs from high-resolution digital pictures, or RGB graphic files.
• Develop processing techniques, and direct technical work concerned with the manufacture of ceramic glass coatings.
• Coordinate glass testing activities of finished products for characteristics, such as texture, color, durability, glazing, and refractory properties.
• Design, implement, and maintain process controls
• Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software.
• Trains personnel to perform activities affecting quality and manufacturing processes.
• Trains R&D or plant personnel to use advanced graphic design techniques and software.
• Assists in writing and teaching process procedures to ensure corrective and preventive actions are taking place.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. BA/BS in Ceramics preferred.
• 5 years or more of designing experience.
• Extensive experience in Ceramic Tile Product Development.
• Advanced knowledge of Inkjet Technologies, and Graphic Design.
• Expert knowledge of graphic production design and Adobe Photo Shop, and /or related programs on Mac computer systems
