Director of Development
Job Summary:
The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for fund development, achieving fundraising goals, and engaging major donors, sponsors and community leaders in cultivation for endowment, planned giving, annual campaign, capital gifts, etc.
Job Duties:
As a representative of CDR, be committed in all that you do to support, perpetuate, and model the CDR Mission.
Implementation of strategies for fund development,
Achieving fundraising goals
Engaging major donors, sponsors and community leaders in cultivation for endowment
Organizing planned giving
Annual Campaigning
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years fundraising experience required (non-profit preferred)
Experience with capital campaigns is a plus!
Proven record of achieving ambitious results
Proven ability to build and leverage relationships toward successful outcomes, even in the face of competing priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Superb organization, detail-orientation, and project management skills
Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment, including the ability to be flexible in
project execution
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
The Job Duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. The physical requirements for this position are those typically present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Reliable transportation is necessary as there may be local day business travel required of this position.
