We are looking for all levels of experience:

JOB PURPOSE:
This position provides care of the patients by monitoring cardiac rhythms. The technician ensures that the organization’s philosophy, standards, policies and procedures are met and maintained in a professional manner. In addition, this position demonstrates proper performance of skills reflected and validated by Monitor Technician competency tests.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Monitors ECG data for patients throughout the United States
• Assess and interpret ECG monitor strips
• Formulates Daily and Cumulative Report according to protocol
• Open and clear all Important and Critical Events according to protocol
• Telephonic coordination of patient care and emergency protocols based on individual physician protocols.
• Telephonic support for patients being monitored including troubleshooting monitor devices.
• Recording and documenting patients ECG strips, interpretations and related activity/symptoms into the company website.
• Must comply to HIPAA guidelines concerning PHI (protective health information)

LEVELS OF TECHNICIANS REQUIREMENTS:
• Entry Level Technician: Entry Level ECG Tech requirements consist of 0 to 6 months experience. A minimum of a cardiac vocational education and/or AMI Monitoring training course is required. Technician must complete the Basic Arrhythmia exam with a pass score of 80%. Technician must be able to recognize basic arrhythmias and perform Holter, Event, and Telemetry studies under the supervision of the department Supervisor. An entry level tech must obtain CCI Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) within 1 year of employment.
• Level I Technician: Level I Technician requirements are at least 1 year experience in the ECG field. Level I Tech must have a passing score of 75% on the Advanced Arrhythmia exam and a passing score of 90% on the Basic Arrhythmia exam. Technicians must perform basic arrhythmia recognition with proficiency and perform Holter, Event, and Telemetry studies without immediate supervision. Level I tech must obtain CCI Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) within 1year of employment
• Level II Technician: Level II Technician requirements consist of greater than 1year experience. The Technician must have a passing score of 80% on the Advanced Arrhythmia exam and a passing score of 90% on the Basic Arrhythmia exam. Level II Technician will hold or will obtain CCI Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) within 6 months of employment. Level II Technicians will also be able to review work completed by an Entry Level or Level I technician and publish these studies with an error rate of less than 1%.
• Level III Technician: Level III Technician requirements technically are the same as a Level II Technicians with the attribute of having excellent customer service skills. Competent customer service traits include employee attitude, meeting customer needs, handling conflict, special requests and surpassing basic expectations. Employee attitude is a result of how the employee first interacts with customers. A cheerful and friendly attitude, ability to listen closely, clear verbal communication, ability to empathize, and the ability to manage personal emotions are the standard of good customer service.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year of experience as an EKG Technician preferred
• ECG interpretation experience preferred
• CCT and/or CRAT certification preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.
