EMT Basic Full Time

The EMT must possess and apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of an Emergency Medical Technician in a dignified and compassionate manner, including but not limited to:

• Representing the Company by being courteous, professional, and a patient advocate.
• Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly, efficiently and promptly.
• Administering basic life support to patients at the scene, en route to the hospital and in a pre-hospital setting in accordance with and defined by federal and state laws and regulations, Company policy and procedure and local and regional Medical Control direction and protocols.
• Communicating with professional medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/ or to arrange reception of patients to the appropriate center;
• Completing patient care forms, billing forms, evaluation forms, and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion.
• Operating and driving vehicles with regard to state and company safety policies.
• Monitoring communication equipment to maintain contact with Communications Center.
• Assuring that vehicles are in good working condition at all times, are properly maintained and stocked, have all necessary equipment and this equipment is in good working order at all times.
• Maintaining a clean, professional appearance of vehicles, equipment and person.
• Consistently regular and punctual attendance with scheduled hours. Willing to work overtime as needed.
