Job Description

Create and modify search area maps using Google Earth or other mapping software; 
Work with System Performance counterpart to understand issues and help reduce Lost Calls and Ineffective Attempts within their sector; 
Perform radio engineering evaluation for system planning and site acquisition; 
Identify location specific needs for new cells taking baseline, performance, capacity, and population into consideration; 
Evaluate coverage problems and requirements for coverage cells; 
Create and supply cell site database parameters; 
Supply parameters and send e911 filings; 
Manual data entry, accuracy validation, and report creation; 
Prepare and modify cell site physical change order documents related to antenna design parameters; 
Communicate with various departments to gather information; 
Process a high volume of projects with accuracy and speed; 
create plumbing diagrams for site configuration 

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required 
2+ years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications’ industry 
Proficient in office computer applications: Microsoft Excel and Outlook, Google Earth 
Siterra experience strongly preferred 
Experience using propagation prediction tools: Geoplan and/or Atoll a plus 
Experience with mapping tools: ArcGIS, MapInfo 
Experience with 3G and 4G radio access technologies a plus 
Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field 
Should have a good understanding of base station and antenna equipment; such as antennas with remote electrical tilt, remote radio heads and diplexers
