Field Service Engineer

Description:

A leading company in the industrial manufacturing industry is seeking a highly motivated individual who is able to travel domestically as well as internationally to meet the needs of customers and work hand in hand with several depts within the organization to achieve success.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

The perfect candidate will work function as a liaison between several departments within and outside of the company supporting sales, engineering, purchasing and operations to successfully address customer needs both in office and on location.

  • Prepare quotes for service and equipment upgrades
  • Provide remote support to existing customers regarding installs, equipment, maintenance, upgrades etc.
  • Involved in assembly and tests of equipment before shipment
  • Product knowledge of all aspects from installation and startup to commissioning, tools and equipment to resources
  • Responsible for presenting all drawings, schematics and installation documents
  • Strong understanding and product knowledgeable of daily operations, controls philosophy, speed setups and system performance
  • Interpret circuit diagrams and layout drawings for installation and/or troubleshooting purposes
  • Write and troubleshoot Ladder and STL PLC programs
  • Handle, burn and restore EPROM’s and Ghost images
  • Develop and maintain an effective professional relationship with customers and/or project personnel
  • Develop and maintain strong, consistent dialog with customers and support team detailing installations, equipment problems and any service needs or issues

5 years related experience
