Capital CarShare is a recently launched local non-profit organization that provide members access to vehicles without the cost and hassles of car ownership. CarShare is searching for a Fleet and Operations Manager to join the team. This individual is responsible for the fleet management, assisting member services functions, and interfacing with a sister organization in Buffalo, NY.

The position is expected to start at 30 hours per week, with growth in hours to come with growth in membership. Additional hours may be available at the start if candidate has experience in Quickbooks.

Compensation: $15-16/hr plus benefits

Qualifications:
- Work experience in a related field
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small team work environment
- Management and/or leadership experience a plus
- Non-profit experience a plus
- Should be comfortable working with vehicles

Responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day management of CarShare Fleet, including:
- Weekly checks of vehicles for cleanliness and safety,
- Periodic cleaning of vehicles (every two to three weeks),
- Light mechanical duties (fluid replacement, fuses, batteries, etc.),
- Oil changes, tire rotations, and otherwise schedule maintenance,
- Annual inspection and biennial registration of each vehicle,
- Taking vehicles in for repairs and bodywork as needed;
- Responding to emergencies (dead battery, hardware malfunction, etc);
- Developing and modifying operational protocol;
- Maintaining program security/soundness:
- Monitoring fuel cards,
- Flagging and dealing with abusive members;
- Assisting team members with the monthly billing cycle, which includes:
- Preparation of invoices and assessment of fines and surcharges,
- Contact with members to make payment arrangements in some cases,
- Followup around accounts receivable;
- Assisting team members in conducting member orientations;
- Assisting with membership services (phone and walk-in):

  • General inquiries,
  • Processing applications,
  • Making, modifying, cancelling reservations,
  • Urgent service matters (i.e. late member),
  • Member questions and concerns (e.g. lost and found);
  • Support advertising strategy and direct marketing efforts when possible.
