Job Description for Sous Chef
Flora Restaurant is looking for a full time, experienced Sous Chef for PM shifts, Tuesday through Saturday. A sous chef is the culinary chef located just below the executive or head chef in a kitchen's chain of command; therefore, a sous chef has a vital role in any commercial kitchen. As second-in-command, a sous chef has a large amount of responsibility in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
A Sous Chef must be familiar with all of the daily operations of the kitchen, and must be able to perform any task in the kitchen if needed. The Sous Chef will be responsible for food prep, executing dishes during service in a timely manner, ensuring the kitchen area is clean before, during and after service, daily inventory and managing food costs.
Required Experience
Experience in a Vegan or Vegetarian kitchen is encouraged but not required. Please send resumes in the body of the e-mail, no attachments please.
About Flora
We are a 16 seat, BYOB, vegetable cuisine/vegan restaurant. We serve a 3 to 4 course menu that changes seasonally.
