Our client base is growing, so we are ready to add some more customer-focused, detail-oriented and self-motivated team members to the Fellowship Travel (FTI) family.
Job Description
As an Individual Travel Agent, reporting to the Individual Sales Manager, you will respond to incoming requests for international and domestic travel with the best itinerary options, providing exceptional customer service. If you love to travel and are passionate about planning trips that change lives, you would be a great addition to our team!
Duties:
- Provide flight, hotel, and group transportation that meet our customers' unique travel needs (no cold calls)
- Utilize our reservation systems as well as our Humanitarian and Consolidator Air Contracts to find the best airfare rates and itineraries
- Advise clients on international requirements and travel options, such as: visas, passports, insurance, stopovers, etc.
- Book reservations in Amadeus GDS, email client quotes and process payments
- Build your client base by asking for additional trips and customer referrals
- Participate in comprehensive training relevant to the travel industry
Required Skills:
- Strong customer service skills that build long-term relationships with your clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Ability to learn new processes quickly
- Solid computer skills, including: Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook
- High school diploma
Desired Skills:
- Previous travel industry or sales experience
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of international airfare pricing rules and procedures, hotels, tour operators, etc.
- Ability to anticipate clients' needs and address them even before they are asked
- Proficiency with Amadeus or a similar Global Distribution System
- Extensive personal travel experience
- Bachelor's degree
