Kitchen & Bath Sales Designer Position

Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Respond to and follow up on all inquiries from prospective clients
• Qualify prospective clients
• Attend all client meetings
• Complete the project estimates using our systems
• Use computer software and/or hand sketches to prepare creative project designs
• Design clear and detailed scope of work for clients and staff using our systems
• Assist the clients in all product selection in our Design Center showroom
• Prepare and complete all contract documents using our systems
• Follow up with project during construction as needed
• Complete the final walk-through with clients after project to present warranty packet, and ask for referrals and reviews

• Mathematical skills sufficient to price, compute discounts and tally complete quotations and invoices
• Ability to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables where only limited standardization exists

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Understanding of construction basics
• Certificate in design, business, or sales
• 1-2 years Design/CAD software experience
• Experience working with residential trade contractors
  
• 2-5 years of experience selling in the Kitchen and Bath Industry
• Understanding of standard cabinetry and countertop sizes and layouts in kitchens and bathrooms
  
• Basic computer skills in MS Office and/or Google G Suite applications (word processing/spreadsheet/presentation software)

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• Degree in design, business, or sales
• 6 or more years of experience selling in the Kitchen and Bath Industry
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequence
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office and/or Google G Suite applications
• Experience customizing cabinetry and countertop designs and layouts in kitchens and bathrooms
  
• 2020 Design software software proficiency
• Experience with QuickBooks

Schedule

• Monday through Friday day shifts
• Occasional Saturday availability

Working Conditions

• Professional appearance
• Able to walk, bend, stand
• Able to work on PC screens for data entry and information gathering
• Desk within a sales showroom. Able to sit, stand and walk throughout the day based on task
• Ability to lift and/or pull 30+ lbs. Will be required to help keep the showroom tidy and organized
