Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor
A Manufacturing Company in Florence, KY is looking for a Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor with strong leadership skills to support plant maintenance, safety, production and manpower.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Mechanics and Maintenance Technicians
- Assign daily work assignments
- Balance manpower based on workload
- Administer schedules, time cards and overtime equalization tracking.
- Supervise Utilities Operators for Boiler Room and Tank Farm.
- Review daily rounds
- Administer schedules, time cards and overtime equalization tracking
- Support Plant Safety and Environmental Performance
- Participate in plant safety programs
- Conduct tool box safety talks
- Develop Lock-Out/Tag-Out Plans
- Participate/Conduction Hazardous Job Meetings
- Conduct Environmental Inspections as assigned
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures related to health and safety, and quality management.
- Support Plant Maintenance and Reliability Programs
- Schedule equipment PM's, review corrective actions and revise/optimize PM rounds to increase equipment reliability and plant uptime
- Manage Instrument Calibration program
- Support plant Mechanical Integrity program assisting with coordination of plant inspections. Responsibilities include review of inspection findings, coordination of repairs and adjustments to inspection frequencies
- Participate in plant downtime tracking and analysis
- Participate/Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures and perform equipment maintenance reviews to drive improvement in reliability and plant uptime
- Work with Maintenance Planner for spare parts tracking and ordering
- Support Plant Production
- Support budget planning and development for Maintenance Department
- Interact with plant Engineering Group for equipment troubleshooting, PM development and new equipment specification/installation
- Work with department supervisors for prioritization of equipment breakdowns and timely completion of work orders
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures related to health and safety, and quality management
CANDIDATE MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5 Years' Experience in Reliability Engineering/Maintenance Engineering with experience in Chemical Industry preferred
- Knowledgeable in Process Safety Management requirements (MOC, Mechanical Integrity etc.)
- Experience with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
- Supervisory experience in union environment preferred
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of JDE Maintenance system preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
