Maintenance Mechanic Manager – Florham Park

COMPENSTATION

Full Time (10am to 7pm), Excellent Benefits

DESCRIPTION

Assist with the engineering group in equipment improvement. Maintains and repairs machinery on all equipment on the production manufacturing and floor areas. Keeps abreast of new and changing technologies in the equipment and maintenance fields. Maintain compliance with GMP, quality systems regulations, standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will report to General Manager.

• Supervises packaging mechanics, supporting production operation.

• Train supervise and review subordinate personnel.

• Keep production lines running with correct set up, keep record and prepare reports of work progress.

• Implement, develop and prioritize schedules, plan, assign and supervise work of all mechanics, inspect work in progress upon completion for compliance to standard trade practices.

• Maintain records or time, implement a preventative maintenance program, materials and equipment used, and order supplies and materials.

• Ensure basic safety rules and proper work techniques.

• Make sure products meet customer’s specifications

• Work with QC on inspections of customer product.

• Track the PMs on quality collaboration by design.

• Perform performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, discharge and disciplinary measures.

   

  QUALIFICATIONS

• An Associated Degree in mechanical, electrical or related field.

• Class A Mechanic certification.

• 5 + years of mechanical, electrical systems and supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.

• 5 + years’ experience with liquid packaging & PLC.

• Ability to read and interpret technical date, including schematics, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Machining experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, especially lockout/tag out requirements.
