Our corporation is looking a full time Manual Surface and OD Grinder to work in our production shop at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ. We are looking for a worker who is able to commit to a full time schedule during our day shift that runs from 5:45 am through 2:00 pm. We are looking for dependable, organized, mechanically skilled individuals for this opening. Essential Responsibilities

• Worker will be responsible for setting up and operating both the surface and OD grinder independently
• Produce finished ground parts with a +/-.0003 tolerance in our production setting
• Use tools to complete assigned tasks
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Determines specifications or procedures for tooling set-up, machine operation, work piece dimensions using blueprints, instructions, and machine knowledge
• Positions and secures work piece on machine bed, indexing table, fixture, or dispensing or holding device. Steady rest setup.
• Confers with supervisor or programmer to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors and obtains approval to continue production
• Measures dimensions of finished work piece to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Stops machine to remove finished work piece or change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequence
• Monitors machine operation and control panel displays to detect malfunctions and compare readings to specifications
• Maintain clean and safe work environment which may include cleaning machine, tooling and parts
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the related field
• Strongly prefer candidate who has 5+ years of experience in the related field
• Must be able to set up and operate Surface and OD grinders efficiently
• Must have good mechanical skills
• Must be able to hold a +/-.0003 tolerance on finish ground parts
• Worker should be able to work with minimal supervision in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Communicate with management and team in a healthy manner
• Good listening skills
• Excellent employment attendance record
• Self-Motivated with a strong work ethic

• Work well with others
• Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail
• GT & D and blueprint reading

Physical/Work Environments

• Worker will be working in production shop setting
• Worker must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Worker must be able to stand throughout duration of their shift
