OVERVIEW:

As a Marketing Business Analytics Manager you’ll head an analytical team to develop methods for assessing the transactional and financial impact of marketing activities.  Research plays a crucial role in our company’s strategy development, impacts short- and long-term sales and return on investments, and influences business decisions.   Your team will assess the performance of different communication channels, by the regular use of scientifically based marketing testing.  The Marketing Business Analytics Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing Analytics.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Utilize Business Analytics in decision making processes in Marketing,

• Monitoring the incorporation of scientifically based testing into the communication channel selection processes in the Marketing department,

• Handling the Business Analytics research projects necessary to execute the Marketing Analytics’ Strategic and Analytical plan

• Oversee the Analytics budget that funds fiscal year analytical support,

• Manage, develop and leading of Business Analyst associates,

• Marketing innovation and quality improvement

• Handling special marketing-related projects

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience in an analytical field

• A minimum of 3 years in an analytical role in Marketing, Business, Economic, Statistical or Digital/Social Media analysis

• Demonstrated ability to apply research results to the practical considerations of day-to-day Marketing and operational business challenges

• Knowledge of standard financial measures and analytical approaches such as calculating return on investment and sales analysis

• Willingness to travel up to one week at a time with overnight stays

• Excellent project management and organizational skills

• Strong working knowledge of business intelligence tools, such as MicroStrategy and Alteryx

• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends in the office or at home

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or quantitative Master’s degrees with a minor in Marketing or statistics

• A minimum of 5 years in an analytical role in Marketing, Business, Economic, Statistical or Digital/Social Media analysis

• Knowledge of statistical tools, such as R or SPSS,

• One year in a supervisory management position with direct reports

• Basic knowledge of analytical disciplines, such as Digital, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Geographic Information System (GIS), and primary research techniques
