Mechanic

Position Title: Mechanic for Bowling Center

Location: Davie, FL

Position Type: Part-time, non-exempt

SpareZ is seeking a Mechanic for its bowling center in Davie, Florida. The right candidate should have some mechanical background. No prior experience or training on bowling equipment is necessary; training will be provided. This position requires a work schedule with hours in the evening, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

In summary, the Mechanic will provide an outstanding bowling experience to the SpareZ customers by correcting all malfunctions of the automatic pinsetter machines while bowling is in progress and assisting the Technical Operations Manager in executing the preventive maintenance program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities are:

-          Handling calls on the automatic pinsetters, correcting pin jams and minor malfunctions, and recording calls on the daily stop sheet

-          Performing basic preventive maintenance on machines

-          Informing the Technical Operations Manager of potential machine problems

-          Cleaning pins and equipment as assigned by the Technical Operations Manager

-          Maintaining a neat and orderly workshop

-          Ensuring that the lane machine is properly filled, cleaned, and maintained

-          Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring staff follows all safety rules

While performing the duties of this job, the Mechanic is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Mechanic must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The minimum age requirement for this type of position is 18 years.
