Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing company in the Lansing, MI area is seeking a manufacturing engineer.  This is a entry/junior level direct hire position with competitive pay and full benefits offered.

Responsibilities include

• Reducing equipment and tooling downtime
• Create & maintain Process Flow, PFMEA, Standard Operating Procedures and Line Balance documentation.
• Utilizing good assembly methodologies and ergonomics.
• Support and maintain error-proofing methodologies,
• Support and develop department or maintenance projects
• Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.  .
• Working knowledge of manufacturing/mechanical processes and equipment
• Document all activities as required.
• Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
• Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

 Qualifications:

•  Associates Degree and 1 year of experience in manufacturing and assembly operations
• Skills in labor analysis
• AutoCAD experience
• Understanding of Manufacturing equipment
• Windows Applications
• Good mechanical / technical skills
• Possess excellent leadership abilities, organizational and communication skills
• Able to maintain confidential information
