Occupational Therapist
Introduction:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to our children with developmental delays. The Occupational Therapist will assess clients' functional abilities, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to help clients improve their physical, cognitive, and motor skills and abilities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and be able to work collaboratively with clients and other healthcare professionals.
We offer services to children in the Essex, Passaic, Middlesex, Union, and Sussex.
This position requires travel to client homes as well as in-home sessions. This position offers a flexible schedule. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing assessment and support team recommendation of frequency, intensity, and duration of OT services during the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings with families and the Early Intervention Team.
- Occupational therapy includes services to address the functional needs of a child related to adaptive development, adaptive behavior and play, and sensory, motor, and postural development.
- Providing individual services or strategies to prevent or minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability based on the family's outcomes as per IFSP.
- Maintain records of contacts with family and child, progress towards individual outcomes, and a periodic reevaluation of progress according to IFSP requirements.
- Participating as part of multidisciplinary service delivery team training parents .
- Reliable transportation to travel to families homes and flexible working hours.
Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

Current state license as an Occupational Therapist

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist

Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and ability to apply them in practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, teams, and other healthcare professionals
