Seeking an Operations Leader to oversee facility. Will be responsible for 200+ person operations. Reports to:

 Production Managers, Customer Service, Logistics, Maintenance and Operations.

Job functions:

  • Responsible for managing the budget for the operations, along with safety, process improvement, sales, customer relations, quality, and state and federal regulatory compliance.
  • Must be safety and compliance focused.
  • Coordinates activities of the operations, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales and maintenance to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Directs promotion of manufactured products to develop new markets, increase share of market and/or obtain competitive position.
  • Establishes financial and production goals and negotiates pricing of machinery.
  • Develops budgets, bottom line P&L accountability while meeting targets in cost control, waste reduction, safety, quality and complete and on time performance.
  • Builds, develops, and manages operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies & improving employee engagement.
  • Fosters an environment of collaboration, problem solving, communication and compliance.

Job qualifications and requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of directly related experience
  • 5+ years of leadership/management of exempt and non-exempt employees over multiple departments
  • Materials experience HIGHLY preferred
  • Project management experience required
  • Must be hands on with strong operations and sales aptitude
  • Proven experience of planning and forecasting
  • Direct hands on experience with Lean manufacturing and 5S a must!
  • TOC experience a HUGE plus!
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Superb communications skills at every level of the organization, both verbally and written
  • Strategic planning, problem resolution, decision making and reasoning skills must be excellent
  • High level presentation skills with Executives, customers, as well as with hourly personnel
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products
  • Flow capacity and manpower utilization, along with freight materials management and distribution highly desired
  • Light travel to our corporate office, branch locations, and trade shows
