Job Summary: Assists Associate Attorneys in legal assistance and secretarial duties such as calendaring, correspondence, document preparation and updating time management program. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

Calendar court appearances, deadlines, meetings and maintain file tickler.

Drafts correspondences, e-mails and legal documents

Updates time management program.

Screens telephone calls, telephone contacts with clients and courts.

Scans documents for client e-folder. Attends to and assists attorney with follow-up documents.

Requests adjournments, follows up with courts and informs clients.

General office duties include handling mail, copying, faxing, and filing.

Opens new files to make sure arraignments are confirmed, identifies the judge and the ADA.

Keep Attorneys updated on cases.
Minimum Qualification Standards:

Associate’s degree in Paralegal studies required.

Paralegal Certification required.

1-3 years minimum experience as a Paralegal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic computer skills that include the ability to send/receive email messages.

Ability to perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry.

Ability to use software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Time Matters.

Ability to use general office equipment to include printer/copier, fax, scanner, calculator and postage meter.
